I've run a problem with my wifi mesh. For some reason I can't reach any public IP-addresses which uses 192.x.x.x public address space. For instance 192.229.221.185 (cs1227.wpc.alphacdn.net) is unreachable. I've a mobile router in bridged mode and Deco X60 in router mode. If I use directly the bridged connection I can reach those sites so the problem must be with Deco setup. My LAN IP is 192.168.68.1 (255.255.255.0) if that plays any role. Have someone else run to this issue or do anyone have hints how I can get the setup working. One solution is to use mobile router in router mode and deco in AP mode but I would like to get it working also like I've configured now.

Have you tried changing the LAN IP scheme for the Deco to something else like 10.0.0.x or 172.16.x.x?

I have a Deco M9 plus setup sitting behind ATT Arris router (192.168.1.254) on fiber. The Deco is in router mode at 192.168.68.1. I just pinged the address you posted (192.229.221.185); I'm guessing the problem is the mobile router since you say your Deco is using a mask of 255.255.255.0.

When I try the same with my laptop using ethernet cable directly connected to mobile router (i.e. replacing deco) I can ping those addresses so my suspicion is that the problem is somehow with deco setup.

That did the trick. Thanks. The root cause is still unresolved as the earlier setup should work as well. But I can live this solution.

@nevalaa I believe you could use 192.168.x.x.  192.x.x.x is a public IP address.

I'm not sure if I understood your comment correctly, but my lan IP was earlier 192.168.8.1 and the setup didn't work. Once I changed my lan IP to 10.0.0.1 all started to work.

Sorry. The subject line threw me off. I have always used 192.168.x.x, even on TP Link devices.
