Trying to access usb drive connected to router with WD TV Live.
Is this router compatible with DLNA?
WD TV Live does not detect the drive

I Googled WD-TV Live and it appears it has been discontinued? There is a FORUM for it @ https://community.wd.com/c/wd-legacy-products/wd-tv-media-player/121 though.
Note the date on that post, 2015!
However, on W10 it required SMB 1.0 Client to be running?
For instance, in W10 running the CMD prompt "NET VIEW" should show you the Router:
C:\>net view
Server Name Remark
--------------------------------------------
\\HP7855 Samba 3.0.37
\\IRV8700 Irv's 8700
\\TP-SHARE samba server
The command completed successfully.
C:\>net view \\tp-share
Shared resources at \\tp-share
samba server
Share name Type Used as Comment
--------------------------------------------
G Disk
The command completed successfully.
Disk "G" is my USB drive connected to the router.
Some applications CAN NOT see the USB drive if it has ACCESS AUTHORIZATION turned on, and they don't know how to handle and act as is there is no share to see.
If you have NET VIEW working, then the problem would be the app if ACCESS AUTHORIZATION is not on. If NET VIEW fails, then you need to enable SMB1.
There is another LINK in the link I posted above on the WD website, http://www.lexnet.eu/law/computer/Note%20on%20connecting%20WDTV%20to%20a%20Windows%2010%20PC-r5.pdf, which gives a more detailed description. If you get the NET VIEW error, check this one out. It too is a Windows Solution only. Using another OS, suggest using the WD forum, or maybe someone else can assist that has the OS you are using.
