Today I switched from Comcast to Google Fiber. With it came an upgrade from 100 Mbps to 1 gig. We have 3 M9 Plus in our house. I've been reading and comparing the M9 with the Google WiFi that comes free with Fiber (you get two devices), and it looks like the consensus is that the M9 is superior. However, after I installed it, I did speed tests through the house, using both setups and the Google WiFi pretty much outperformed the M9. Google was getting about 250 Mbps on a wireless device while the M9 was getting 120 Mbps. Upload speeds were even starker with 200 Mbps from the Google but only about 6 Mbps from the M9. However, range was much better with the M9.
Does this sound about right? Is there a setting I need to change to bring the performance up? Looking at the speed test in the Deco app, the overall system gets 750 Mbps download and 875 upload.... which is about what Google got. Any thoughts?
