I have done absolutely everything I can think of from the smart connecting dual band to separating the channels with 2.4 and 5ghz connections as well as creating a 2.4ghz guest connection. My router is fully updated and works on everything other than smart devices.

These smart devices have been fully setup before on multiple routers as well as reset correctly and configured for new connection. I see a lot of threads with similar issues that have the same response saying smart connect should work.

Is there anything else I can try on my end? This router is becoming unusable for my home network and I need to make a decision soon. I have cameras and other smart devices that need to be used.

Appreciate the support!

@mcr88

Many wifi devices have strict limitations on SSIDs/wifi network names. I recommend you try removing all special characters such as the spaces and periods. You may try replacing them with underscores or hyphens as those characters are generally safe to use. It's for this reason that 2.4Ghz networks usually are not suffixed by default but 5Ghz networks are ( e.g. "MyNetwork" and "MyNetwork-5G").

Best of luck and happy new year.

Also, another possibility is to disable AX support under advanced wireless settings in case your devices are experiencing conflicts with Wifi 6. Try changing the 2.4Ghz band mode from "b/g/n/ax" to "b/g/n" only.
