I don't see a WAN menu anywhere for me to change that wired connection name. Any ideas? Thanks. :)

@Hunger

If on Windows, Windows controls that.

There are two things, the name of the Ethernet Adapter and the Network Profile name.

Changing the name of the Adapter is easy. Default might be Ethernet, and in the Network and Sharing Center via Properties or the Windows Settings for Network you can edit that name.

To change the name of the Network Profile, a little different, see https://www.howtogeek.com/364291/how-to-change-or-rename-the-active-network-profile-name-in-windows-10/

@IrvSp Thanks for the info! The wired connection name is showing up as TP-Link_0006F_5G so that would have to come from the device somehow. Did Windows possibly assign it that name because that's what the MAC address was registered under?

In my case it happened to be the name that I assigned to the 2.4Ghz SSID I think (or make the 5Ghz SSID)?

Is/was that the SSID for the 5Ghz? Still, you should be able to change that via the Registry?

I wonder why you care?  I don't think it can be seen anywhere else but on our PC?
