tp-link archer ax11000 new firmware & wrong hardware version displayed 1.3.0 b20220221 r.50072.5553
I have recently upgraded my v1.6 hardware revision AX11000 to:
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 Build 20220221 rel.50072(5553) Hardware Version: Archer AX11000 v1.0
As you can see, the "Hardware Vesion" Shows v1.0 and not v1.6.
Can tp-link / archer please fix this. Its really annoying to have such a gross oversight in the GUI. The sticker on the product itself and on the product box says v1.6, but my GUI shows 1.0.
also can the change log between versions say substantive things? All I got for this new version which cannot be downgraded is:
What's new
Improved the stability of the system.
Note: You will be unable to downgrade to the previous firmware version after updating this firmware.

I also purchased from costco, the bottom of router list as revision 1.6, but the GUI has it listed as 1.0.
I have up to date firmware i manually download from website and it continues to list router as v1.0 instead of 1.6.
My wifi speed randomly drop all the time and range is a bit weak, i live in apartment and all 3 channels work for a while but randomly drop all the time.
This is crazy this 400 dollar msrp router csnt even get GUI revisions to match physical router.

Hi @Alkaiser,
The Version Number that is listed on the bottom of the router can differ from that listed in the GUI as a result of the version number being indicative of where the product was manufactured or where the product is sold. This simply allows our vendors and company to better identify and track products if there were to ever be an issue with a specific version. For your purposes, the 1.x Versions of the router are the same as the 1.0 Version and will have the same compatability.
The version number in the GUI is in reference to the firmware that is loaded onto your router and will always be the most up-to-date. Even if the firmware was originally released for a product version different from the label, rest assured that the firmware has been tested to be compatible with your version.
If there is up-to-date firmware for another version of your product but not yours; please feel free to reach out and I will ask our Engineers to confirm the compatibility and update the site.
If you could start a new thread detailing the hiccups that are happening in your network, I would be more than willing to help you diagnose and fix the issue,

This has still not been addressed and it's now going on 4 months.

Hey @bhowes @MMcD4210 @Mystiky,
Thank you for letting us know about the firmware versions that did not match with the AX11000 V1.6 vs the AX1100 V1.0
As you have already found out, the firmware for the V1 will work as intended with the AX11000 V1.6 – The 1.6 model is only sold in the United States, so the updated firmware was only actually uploaded for the global site, which is the more common and universally available firmware for the v1. The team appreciates you pointing this miscommunication out, and I have already requested that the firmware files for the V1.6 be updated to match the most up-to-date firmware for the 1.0. For now, please feel free to use the older hardware's firmware for the newer hardware. I will also pass along feedback that you would like the GUI to indicate the correct hardware version of the product, if possible.
Thanks again for letting us know about something like this, as it can be very difficult to catch small things that need to be changed, or are overlooked by development teams.

I am not sure if the hardware version will be changed in the UI, as the systems are nearly identical due to their 1.x Version Number, the difference could simply be where a device was manufactured or a model might just be specific to a retailer. I have been assured that the firmware for the systems is identical and will work with both versions. I assume that due to how little is different between the models, they use the same firmware for both devices.

Would these verson mismatches in the UI also cause inaccurate update notices popping up for me?
I have an AX11000 also from Costco.
Firmware Version:
1.3.0 Build 20220221 rel.50072(5553)
Hardware Version:
Archer AX11000 v1.0 (per the UI)
I get a popup telling me a new firmware version is available, both in the app on using a browser. Each time I attempt to update I get a notice that "Unable to connect to the cloud server. Please try again later."
This appears to be the newest firmware I can manually download. Is this just a glitch with the 1.6v having a newer firmware date in the downloads section?
I can create new post about this, but thought I'd reply here in case it's relevent.

my costco v1.6 is on
Firmware Version:
1.3.1 Build 20220721 rel.61848(5553)
Hardware Version:
Archer AX11000 v1.0
seems the hardware version possibly always shows as 1.0
however, i dont see a link for this build / release on the website...
someone mentioned this on leddit as well

before you try to update, there is a thread on how the latest firmware [ 1.3.1 Build 20220721 rel.61848(5553)
] had issues and has been recalled and the suggestion is to use the last stable 1.3.0 or a new beta version [ AX11000_V1.0_1.3.1 Build 220831 (Beta) ] aka ax11000v1-up-ver1-3-1-P8[20220831-rel77448]_beta.zip
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/579042?page=1
that thread also mentions the update button not working

@Riley_S Yes and I have a Tapo C210 version 1.8 but the app says it's 1.0. Seems to me none of the software or firmware are working right on anything.

Thanks for the heads up.
This reminded me of firmware pull backs on another platform I've used and how the UI would still show the need for updates...even though nothing was there.

So I see firmware for 1.0 and 1.6, but my hardware version is 1.26 as labeled on the device. Does this count as 1.0? I'm having some issues where it started to want to drop out one of the 5g bands randomly.
