I just noticed a new firmware availavle for V1 of the AX11000 router -----> Archer AX11000(US)_V1_220221

 

1) Has anyone tried it?  If yes, any feedback?

2) There isn't one like this one listed for the V1.6 of the same router.   Is it coming?

3) Has anyone tried to install this V1 firmware onto the V1.6?     I have a feeling it's all the same.

 

The problem is that when TP-Link describes this as "stability improvements", without listing anything exactly what, it's hard to digest and make a decision.

 

Any and all input is appreciated!

  @Mystiky 

You and some other users have brought to our attention a miscommunication regarding the newest firmware available for the various hardware versions. I am going to point you to another thread that would be useful to you and has your exact situation. I will also be posting an update there that goes into more detail.

 

TLDR; The V1.0 Firmware is fine to use with the V1.6, simply different makers and the 1.6 is only sold in the US, so the firmware page did not get updated. Feedback has been passed along that the firmware page needs to have updated firmware for the US V1.6 of the product.
