Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20220530 Rel. 38621

I have Comcast Gigabit service, and reliably get ~950mbps down / 40 mbps up when I connect a PC directly to the modem using an ethernet cable.

 

When I connect the same PC using the same ethernet cable to my Deco AX3600 router, download speed drops to ~ 400mbps.

 

When I connect the same PC using the same ethernet cable to my old TP-Link Archer AC1750 router, download speed is restored to ~950mbps.

 

Clearly something is not right with the Deco router's configuration. Any ideas?

  @Heidi_Alp  - thank you, QOS was the problem. Another user guided me to finding the QOS setting, somewhat hidden in the Homeshield section.

The problem was the QOS download speed was set at 600mbps, and my tests were showing 400mbps (wired). Maybe I edited it to that, but can't think why I would have.

 

After I disabled QOS, wired speeds are as expected: 950/25 mbps.

Hi, the first thing on my mind is the QOS, and please make sure it is set to 1000/1000m/s download and upload.

Thanks for the suggestion. My understanding is that QOS is a premium feature inside a Homeshield subscription, which I don't have. So I would think my QOS settings are at default.

 

Also I have tested wired speed from 2 different devices - both are half the speed available on the old router.

 

In any case, I see no way to change a QOS setting in the app.
