I recently upgraded my Internet connection to 200 Mbps, but this device will only connect at 100 Mbps, not at 1 Gbps.  Do I have a defective router?  Is there a setting I need to turn on?

It advertises itself as a 450 Mbps Wifi router, so I assumed it could exceed 100 Mbps, but the User Guide never mentions whether it should be able to connect at 1 Gigabit.

I have tested the connection by plugging my laptop into the cable that is usually plugged into it, and my laptop can get faster than 100 Mbps, but the router connects at 100 Mbps.

After posting this question it redirected me to this post, where Tony from TP-Link says it won't support anything faster than 100 Mbps: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/203698.
