I have Century Link Fiber 1gig plan.

Have been using the router they gave with the install over 4 years ago.

Decided it was time to move to a new router and see if I can get some better speeds and reliability.  Got this ax3000 Pro from best Buy.

Installed and have been troubleshooting all day.  Speeds are much slower than the old router, on wifi.

I was consistently getting around 300-340Mbps on wifi, iphone and macbook and PC tower. testing in same location in house.  On the ax3000 I'm down to like 100-120, a lot slower.

PS4, wired, I get 319 on the old router and 440 on the ax30000, so that's a little better.

Is this a router thing or is this a century link thing?

any tips for setting up the router?  I turned off QoS, am not using the Smart Connect, and set 5ghz to channel 100 DFS like another post said.  Same slow results.
