I noticed that App-Access to configure all Settings through the Deco App is also possible when NOT within the own Deco-Wifi-Network.

This means anyone that could hack TP-Link Cloud has full access to passwords and all Network settings, could open NAT-Ports and create huge damage. Whilw I trust TP-Link I do not trust that they can't be hacked (Like Sony, Like Home Depot like like like).

Only way to be safe is not to be connected to the outside world.

@StopForcingReg I wholeheartedly concur. If I had known that remote access could not be disabled I would not have bought a TP-Link Deco WiFi router. A similar breach has already occurred with one of their competitors.

Given the pervasiveness of cybersecurity attacks this is inexcusable.

When is TP-Link going allow disabling remote access?

this is a big design flaw and the answers I read here give me the impressions it's more about getting customer data.

Zero Trust is the way to etablish network products - no cloud account bindings!!

Please add a feature to allow local use of your wifi products.

Or give us a workaround to block cloud connection.

Regards, Sven.
