I am wanting to add a router or access point to my hotels wireless interenet for security and use with my smart speakers.

I am looking at the TP-Link C54 AC1200 MU-MIMO.

Can this or any other option be setup with out a Lan Port on computer or in room?

Access points need at least one LAN connection to disperse the WIFI going out. This is why it is an Access point. No LAN in, no wifi out. If you had wifi coming into it, it would have to be in Bridged Mode. You have to setup a bridged network first, then piggy back off that portion of the network. Good Luck!
