Model: Deco BE95
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I see that my BE 95 says "enable OFF" under my status/advanced 6ghz-2  section when I log on to the web interface of my BE95

I am certain I can use that SSID/Channel if for clients if I can  figure how to turn it on, but I  dont see how to do that on the Web interface or in the deco app

thanks!

Good thing someone asked this same question! I also want to know if Deco BE95 has backhaul feature? is it enabled by default? I don't mean dedicated, just wirelessly.

@Profaniter yes, it does have a wired and wireless backhaul feature, and it seems to enable automatically.

I am connected via a wire through a switch to my main BE 95 unit, and it shows as wired in the Deco App.

I also have an X55 unit in my garage, to give me some internet with wired ports in there, and that is connected wirelessly to my main unit, and it shows that in the Deco App...

@wase4711 ahh okay. I spoke with the tech support and they told me that 6 Ghz-2 can only be active if more than one deco unit which was odd because this pack comes with two units and it should show in the settings. I guess it's only active if your device supports Wifi 7 and you're moving closer to 2nd unit and it'll connect to 6 Ghz-2 wirelessly?

@Profaniter I dont think that is true, because, as you say, there are TWO units in the package, so there is more than one, and, I have 3 total deco units together, and they are doing wired and wireless backhaul simultaneously

I think it might take another firmware update to get that 6-2 ghz band to show up and be able to be enabled' that band is enabled and works on another model

@David-TP thanks for the explanation, David..Does it matter if I am connected via ethernet to the main BE95 and its twin, as far as it using a wired backhaul instead of a wireless one?

If so, wouldnt that allow me to use 6ghz-2 for clients since it wasnt in use for backhaul?

thanks!
