Hi.

I've been adding some IoT devices to my network and HomeShield Pro is giving me a warning about "malicious port scanning".

How can I allow the device to scan without disabling all of HomeShield Pro?

I don't want to completely disable port scanning and some devices need to do an initial scan inside the network.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

  @4nthony

In addition, why doesn't HomeShield Pro know the names of the router's clients?

I got another port scanning notification this morning and HomeShield reported the client name as UNKNOWN when the client is known on the router.

I understand that the device is probably not going to report the name I have in the client list on the router. It may not even have the name configured in its native app.

HomeShield should be smart enough to at least query the router for client names by MAC and/or IP addresses.

Hey, I'm new here. Purchased for my lil dog. So I can watch him while I'm at work.
