I would check to make sure that your junction box has a ground, as that is a very standard thing to have in your boxes. The neutral wire is often the wire that is missing from older developments.

Without a Ground or a Neutral, the device is extremely prone to not being powered correctly or being overloaded and failing - let alone being a potential hazard. Most of the time, without the proper connections, you will not be able to complete the setup process. I would recommend contacting an electrician, as they may be able to quickly adapt your box for the device.
