I bought the lowest watt dimmable led bulb that I could find on Amazon, it's a 4 watt GU 10 bulb. It's still way too bright. Could there be a setting in the kasa dimmer calibration for max level?

Kasa dimmer calibration sets the minimum light level, not max level.
However, you can use the Preset feature to adjust the brightness to a different level to avoid 100% brightness.
@Wayne-TP that's only for the app as a switch correct? It still enables the wall switch to go beyond the max preference.
Yes, that's an option in the Tapo App. If a 4W light bulb is still too bright for you, we suggest considering a lower-wattage non-dimmable bulb. Alternatively, you can opt to use a lampshade to physically reduce its brightness.
