Configuration Guide Sharing setup of Cloudflare IPv6 with Spectrum Cable Internet
I've been helping friends successfully setup their TP-Link and other brands of routers to utilize IPv6 with Spectrum's High Speed Internet service in Southern California and thought that others might appreciate seeing the settings used.
First, setup the router to use the default IPv6 settings from Spectrum.
1. Log in to Router
2. Select "Advanced"
3. Select "IPv6" from the menu
4. Under "IPv6 Internet" enable IPv6.
6. Select and save IPv6 Internet Connection Type: Dynamic IP (SLAAC+Stateless DHCP)
7. Click the [SAVE] button at the bottom of the menu to save your settings.
At this point you should have IPv6 enabled and working.
Now, add the Cloudflare IPv6 Settings.
8. Select "Advanced Settings"
9. Set "Get IPv6 Address:" to Auto
10. Set "Prefix Delegation" to Enable
11.Set "DNS Address:" to "Use the Following DNS Addresses
12. Enter the Primary DNS: 2606:4700:4700::1111
13. Enter the Secondary DNS: 2606:4700:4700::1001
Test by clicking on the RENEW button
Click on the SAVE button at the bottom of the TP-Link Menu to save your changes.
I then first reboot the router, and then clear my Windows 10 computer's DNS cache by entering the command "ipconfig /flushdns" from a command prompt.
