Incredibly Poor Performance Even After Verifying 1Gb Signal from Provider
Hey guys!
I'm experiencing extremely poor coverage about my 1,400 sq. ft. condo with three Deco XE75 Pro units. I had Spectrum come out last night and clean up coaxial cabling. The technician tested the speed of our cable and it peaked just over 1 Gb. He ran a Ookla Speedtest and got 917.34 Mbps download and 41.33 Mbps upload. Both of these tests were from his testing unit and without the Deco XE75 Pro. The Spectrum signal is clean and without interference.
We connected the Deco XE75 Pro into the mix and the download dropped to 141 Mbps and the upload dropped to 23.2 Mbps. Arrgh! Our Spectrum cable comes into a closet so I have the main Deco connected to the Spectrum modem in there. I saw a post on the TP-Link FAQ that states to not place a Deco in a closet. I also saw other posts about disabling the QOS (I didn't have it enabled) or to change it to Standard and set bandwith to 1000Mbps, which I did. There was another post to turn off the UPNP and SIP ALG feature which wasn't enabled.
I moved the Deco main unit out of the closet and I'm still getting the low upload/download speeds. I'm hoping that someone might have other recommendations for me.
Thanks much,
Kenny Vick
