Hi.

I have a TP-Link Deco AX3000 WiFi 6 Mesh System and many Google smart home devices. I was able to connect my Nest doorbell and many speakers (Nest home and Nest mini). Now, I'm trying to add my Nest Camera (outdoor) and I am not successful.

I have tried the following from the Home app: Forgetting + Removing the device

  • I have done a factory reset on the camera (15 seconds holding the button on the back of the camera)
  • It will not connect to the Home Wifi.
  • I also tried having it connect to the 2.4 GHz band only setting - this did not work.
  • Also tried disabling beamforming - this did not help.
  •

Please let me know what else I can try? Thanks.

I was able to resolve the issue by resetting the cameras. Instead of using the QR code for setup, I used the code underneath the camera. THAT worked!

Please mark this thread as resolved. Thanks.

  @SJMelo,

Glad you got if figured out. For your future reference, this is something that you should consider for any devices that you are having problems connecting. I have seen a few users mention on our Smart Home forums that they have had a more consistent setup with Matter devices with the physical code as opposed to the QR code; and I can vouch that this is the case with any brand device I have tried to setup via QR code.
