Connecting HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw to Deco X55 System
Connecting HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw to Deco X55 System
I have connected the printer to my network through the printer control panel, run network test through the printer control panel and everything is good from the printer side. I have turned off fast roaming and made everything 2.4 Ghz but that didn't help, Deco does not see the printer. Trying to use the HP installation process doesn't work because my Windows 10 x64 system can't find the printer on the Deco network.

@JTTM Could the printer be connected to another wifi network?
Is there a way to print a "network status" page, and verify that the numeric BSSID is identical to the MAC address printer on the main Deco?
I believe you can also use the HP Smart" app on smartphone, to verify your printer is connected.

Thanks for the reply but I cannot verify anything since my printer doesn't appear in Deco. I logged the printer in through the printer screen to the Deco Guest network but the printer doesn't appear in Deco anywhere.

@JTTM Did you use the WPS option to setup the printer?
Did you consider using the USG option for the setup?
Is it not possible, via the control pannel of the printer, to print a report about its network setup?
edit: USB, not USG!

I have tried WPS but it fails since the Printer isn't visible on the network. USG ?

@JTTM What does the report show? Does it show that the printer is connected to something?

I just ran through the similar saga with my Brother MFC-L2710DW printer.
My situation resolved so far using the wired mode to one of my DECO X20 to make it on to the Mesh and become discoverable from the internet to refresh the installation from Brother download site. Any attempt to do the same linking the printer to the WiFi mesh failed to become discoverable from the outside internet server.
Another issue I found was I had the printer to be forced to the wired mode as default or it would alsways try to go on WiFi anyway.
This has become for me the deciding factor how to organize physically the 3 Deco mesh points and drove me to reroute the modem entrypoint to a different port in the house.

Tried running HP Smart but it shows the printer to be offline. Odd since I know it is connected via the USB. Makes you wonder how reliable is that app from HP.
