I have a new Dell laptop which has an internal Intel WIFI 6E network card. The 5Ghz channel on my router is set to "Mode: 802.11ax only". For some reason, even if my laptop initially connexts using 802.11ax over 5Ghz, it will very quickly drop down to 802.11n, which is WIFI 4. But my setting for the router should NOT allow a connection at that mode.

I worked on troubleshooting the issue, by turning off 2 devices that also connect using the 5Ghz network. They were both from Roku; a Roku Stick and a Roku Premiere+ device.  Why are they even connecting when I don't think that they support 802.11ax? After I dropped the Rokus off the 5Ghz network and then rebooterd the router, my laptop was now connecting and staying connected under 802.11ax.

I should also mention that my 2 cell phones (Android and iPhone) connect and stay connected under 802.11ax. So, the issue doesn't affect them, It only affects my laptop.

So, it seems that the Roku devices are causing the AX1500 to misbehave with respect to my laptop connection. Recall, as I stated earlier that the laptop is connecting using a mode that I specifically set to router not to connect with.

So, the router is supporting connections other then 802.11ax when ONLY 802.11ax is specified on the configuration page and that seems to be screwing up the connection for a device that actually supports 802.11ax.

This seems like bugs in the firmware of the AX1500. Can TP-Link confirm this bug and if so, tell us if they are working on a fix for it?
