Model: Archer AXE300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.9 Build 20230525 rel.2592(5553)

I have an Archer AXE300.  We use WiFi for all devices.  I just bought a TL-SG108-M2 (8x 2.5Gb switch).  I connected it to the 2.5Gb port on the router with a new CAT6 cable.  The 3 PCs that are being wired support 2.5Gb ethernet.  Speed tests from all PCs show less than 100Mb.  PC directly connected to 2.5Gb port shows 100Mb.  In the router configuration, network map, Archer AXE 300, the 2.5 port shows 100Mb when connected to a PC directly or the switch.  Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

You can try setting the Interne t negotiation speed to :

e01eb89270e04efebce4fe3b75b9bea2

if it is on Auto Negotiation.

@terziyski It should be set on auto-negotiation. Both sides of the cable should have the same setting if you try changing it.

I would try a different cable first, and check if it plugs in properly. Some notepad ports are rather deep and connector cover pushes it out. Maybe some wire is not connected and then it negotiates to 100 mbps which uses only 2 twisted pairs out of 4.

Marketplaces are full of cheap fake cables. You can try your existing WAN cable you know is working, just to check ethernet speed negotiation.

I would agree with that. My suggestions was to check if there would be any change in the negotiated speed (100mbps).

Ideally this setting should be on auto-negotiation. Sometimes though it should be set manually to get things running properly.

This type of issues are most often caused by a bad cabling and in rare cases by faulty ethernet ports or even a FW glitch.
