Model: Archer AX72
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: .2.4 Build 20240125 rel.39949(4555)

Hi,

Im using AX5400 router with RPI conncted via LAN, did Address Reservation on DHCP page, for RPI easy access via Local Network. Few weeks ago i bought DECO M4R to extend wifi to second floor as AX was not giving a good signal. Ive connected and configured DECO as access mode and both work OK ,although since i note that RPI seen as connected to port 4 via lan on AX5400 but no longer assigned with IP and not accessible via network ... Any idea why ?

thank you

If you set Deco M4 in AP mode the only active DHCP server in your local network should be the one on AX5400 and it should work as expected.

@terziyski that got me thinking maybe its RPI itself. I was using while powered via AX5400 usb. Post checking i decided to connect RPI with its own power adepter. All works now :/ i suspect post AX fw update there was some change to USB power or something.

It's good that you mentioned how the RPi was powered up - for RPi better use its own power adapter.

@terziyski yeah, it did work this way for at least 6 month. and it had anough power to show lights and lan activity as well as power up a drive... odd ... fixed though.

 Thanks for reply.
