Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.10 Build 20240130 Rel. 77367(4555)

I've seen a lot of people having issues with this router and airlink due to the fact the firmware refuses to let you use these higher channels. I've read online and in this forum a lot that it's a hardware limitation but this is simply not true, my friend and I managed to decrypt and modify the settings of the router and then reimport them using the TPlink web ui.

When she next visits I'll be making a sanitized version of these settings (removing my personal ISP login details) and then uploading it to google drive so anyone can use it in future! Just wonder if anyone still has/uses this router. This is a huge benefit for airlink on my Meta Quest 3, for my location my channels are congested by neighbours so unlocking DFS channels made airlink go from 280mbps bandwidth (unusable) to 1200mbps. :D

I just wanted to clarify that this router in fact is not hardware limited, only software, due to the fact it's firmware locks the wifi region to Germany where DFS is very strictly regulated. I wish TPlink would fix this issue themselves but I'm glad to figure it out.

Would be happy to help anyone else with this router when I managed to sanitize these settings with my ISP details.

@amecadog hello I recently bought the ax1500, and didn't think to check for DFS support before I bought it despite me needing this feature. I was going to return it but if you'd be able to help me enable DFS that would be great!

would you mind to share the firmware or let us know how did you do that?
