I have a DecoX55 in my cabin, Fiber comes in to the garage which is about 100' from the house, I have the main unit there. I also have the garge to the cabin wired, the signal strength of the 2nd unit in the cabin is Medium. Can i direct connect the unit in the cabin to eithernet for faster speeds?
Yes! This is actually the recommended setup for your Decos. Linking your satellite nodes to your main node via ethernet cable will allow your nodes to use the cable as an ethernet backhaul - eliminating any potential sources of wireless interference and streamlining all of your device's connections. It is worth mentioning that the nodes do not have to be directly connected. After the main node, you can add a network switch to connect wired devices or add other Deco nodes to your network.
