Totally get where you're coming from. It does seem wild that the XE75 Pro would only be configurable through the app. I had the same reaction at first and kept digging through the manual hoping I missed something. Sadly, it looks like TP-Link is still locked into that app-only approach for initial setup, at least for most users. Not the most pro-friendly move, for sure. That said, once you're through the setup, the system itself actually performs quite well. Solid speeds, good coverage, and stable performance overall. It might not be enterprise-grade, but for most home environments, it does hold its own. Whether it’s worth the initial headache depends on how much you're willing to compromise on control and configuration flexibility. As for me, I couldn’t decide whether to return it or not either, so I let a good old heads or tails flip decide, and I’m still using it today. 😅 Sometimes, that's just how tech decisions roll.
