Bought a Deco be11000 3-pack unit at Costco and I guess it goes back. I don't see any means to configure this via a web page, only with a smart phone using their app. That's a non-starter, honestly. I guess I'm more "techy" and do not want an app on my phone to be required to configure the system. Chinese company requiring THEIR app on MY phone is a red flag...no pun intended.

 

I plugged it in, got an ip, went to configure for my network...then ran into the app requirement. I'll be looking at competing products.

It is an alarming trend, network also goes down if Internet is lost

The Deco does not require the app to run.

The app does not require Internet to work.

 

"network also goes down if Internet is lost": more a bug than a feature.
