Can I connect a device using ethernet without connecting the ethernet cable directly from the device to the router

@Thomas3857 You have to attach it to something, either straight to the router or through a switch/hub that is attached somehow to the router. If you have a wirless extender working with the router that has an ethernet port on it you can connect with that. If you have powerline adapters you can use those.
