I have 2 AX6000 routers that I want to use as 2 separate LANs sharing a single WAN connection. Connecting one to the other is not possible cable-wise, so they need to be in a Y configuration from the WAN line. I tried using a Ubiquity EdgeRouter for this, but couldnt get the configuration to work with the AX6000s. Thinking that staying in the TP-Link family would increase the chances of getting this to work. A regular unmanaged switch didnt work. So my guess is the TL-SG105E may be correct smart switch to use. Any help would be appreciated.

A regular switch won't work in your case.

Configure Ubiquity EdgeRouter WAN port and connect it to your ISP cable.

Then connect both AX6000 WAN ports to Ubiquity EdgeRouter LAN ports.

With this topology you should have two separate LANs as you've intended.

Keep in mind that this setup will introduce a double NAT in your local network.
