I am having the same situation with AX1800 Wifi router as mentioned in the following theread: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/644856

python: ssl.SSLError: [SSL: DECRYPTION_FAILED_OR_BAD_RECORD_MAC] decryption failed or bad record mac (_ssl.c:2633)

Transfer for larger files fails with the error (e.g. python packages). Once I replace the tplink router with one I used so far - issue disappears.

Router is configured via wizard and works most of the time for things like browsing the net.
