I am getting failures of my router almost hourly according to my ISP for my Deco to pick up the DHCP renewal from our service provider.  I have just swapped ports to see if a different port on the main unit will perform better, but seeing 5 year old complaints about this issue on your forums is not promising.  These may get demoted to access points if not returned to the store.
