I am aware that the local DNS server cannot be added on the WAN settings, have done this several times and never want to do it again as the router automatically resets to default.

I read on another thread that by using the DNS server as the default gateway, that would allow for the local DNS to be recognized and also to use my own DHCP server and disable the one on the router. Does any of this sound as if it will work with this router?

What setting would need to be changed?
