Model: Deco BE95
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20241217 Rel. 38308

I noticed my PC was not connected to my network today via ethernet.  I checked the DECO app to see if it was showing up and it wasn't.  When I looked at the rest of my devices, I noticed everything that uses ethernet are not showing up on my network.  The ethernet devices currently have no network access.  I have the following devices connected to a Dell PowerConnect gigabit switch:

Motorola MB8600 cable modem

Apple TV

Synology DS220j

Windows PC

All of these devices and the switch do not show up in the DECO app.  I have turned everything off and on and still no change.

I have a single DECO BE95 connected to the Dell switch and my cable modem is also connected to the switch along with the above mentioned devices that are not working.  I was able to connect my Apple TV using wifi but when I plugged the ethernet back in, I get a self-assigned address (169.x.x.x).  I think the DECO DHCP server is not working properly when handing addresses out to ethernet devices.  All of my wifi devices in the house are working fine.  I find it strange that the Dell switch is passing traffic between the modem and the BE95 but other ethernet devices do not seem to work.  I was hoping I could get some help in troubleshooting the issue.

Thank you!

  @RogerNH

I think you need to change the network layout:

Motorola MB8600 cable modem----> Deco BE85----->Dell switch--->TV/NAS/PC

The switch needs to be put between your cable modem and router.

I ended up changing the network layout as you described. Nothing worked so I reset the BE95 back to factory settings and set it up again. Now everything is working. Thanks for your help!
