WiFi 6

If I connect this extender to a WiFI 5 router, will I get WiFi 6 on my WiFi 6 capable devices?
TIA.

Hi @Michaelr1953,
Welcome to the community.
When you connect a Wi-Fi 6 extender to a Wi-Fi 5 router, your Wi-Fi 6 capable devices will be able to connect to the extender using Wi-Fi 6 protocols. However, you won't get the full benefits of a complete Wi-Fi 6 network.
The key point in your case would be that the extender is connected to a Wi-Fi 5 router.
While the Wi-Fi extender can repeat and boost the signal it receives from the router, since a Wi-Fi 5 router in your case is at the head of the network, the overall performance (including speeds) will be limited by the Wi-Fi 5 standard and bandwidth capabilities of your router.
Basically, your Wi-Fi 6 compatible devices may connect to the extender using the Wi-Fi 6 protocol; however, the extender cannot create a faster network connection than what the router itself is capable of via its Wi-Fi 5 speeds and features.
That said, if you are looking to achieve the full benefits of Wi-Fi 6, it may be worth considering either a Wi-Fi 6 Archer Router or a Wi-Fi 6 Deco Mesh System. The latter may be preferable if you need more coverage throughout your home.
