Model: Archer BE9300

Firmware Version:

I am currently using Xfinity Gigabit Internet (1000 Mbps).

After contacting my ISP, I confirmed that there is no issue with the connection itself—when I connect my PC directly to the modem, I consistently get speeds around 1000 Mbps.

My current setup includes a Netgear Nighthawk CM1200 modem connected to a BE9300 router, which then connects to my PC via a LAN port. I tested both Ethernet cables, and they both deliver 1000 Mbps when connected directly from the modem to the PC, so the cables do not appear to be faulty.

However, when using the router, both my wired and wireless connections are capped at 100 Mbps.

I’ve already performed a factory reset, disabled EZMesh, and tried all troubleshooting steps I could find, but the speeds remain capped at 100 Mbps.

I purchased this router less than a year ago and would like assistance resolving this issue.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey @Cbear37,

There are a two main things that I would recommend trying or checking before diving into troubleshooting:

  • First, try another ethernet cable, while it may provide full speeds with one device, there may still be a fault that prevents it from being used to its full potential with newer technologies or higher capacity ports.
  • Second, In the Archer Web Interface, there is an Internet Port Negotiation Speed. It should be set to 'Auto,' but you can force the setting to use a different option. I would just make sure that it is not locked at 100Mbps Full Duplex.
