Model: Deco BE11000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.7

I have a computer on my network running an older version of Mac OS that can no longer be updated. I use it as a music and file server. For security reasons I do not want to allow it to access the internet. I have not found a way to do this. I tried the parental controls feature but if I block internet access it also won't assign it a local IP address. Suggestions? Or is this not even possible with the Deco system? I have searched for an answer but so far all I have seen is "can't be done."

Sorry for the late reply see if either of the following helps

Method 1: Blocking from the Online Clients List

  1. Open the Deco app: on your smartphone.
  2. Tap the Network tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the device you want to block from the list of online clients.
  4. Scroll down and tap the Block button to confirm.

Method 2: Using the Block List

  1. Open the Deco app: and tap on the More tab.
  2. Select Block List.
  3. Tap the + icon to add a device.
  4. Choose either Select Clients to pick a device from your network or Add by MAC Address to enter the MAC address manually.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to add the device to the block list and tap Save
