I have 3 Deco M4 working.

I would like to upgrade de network but at the same time keep the existing Deco M4 routers I have.

Would it be possible buy and install another Deco Router as the main router and connect the existing m4 routers?

Will they work together?

I mean, I want to keep the mesh network, I don't want just to put the m4 routers as APs, I would like to leverage the power of mesh networks.

According to this you should be able to connect up to 6 decos at once

"

Using Ethernet or Hybrid (Wireless and Ethernet) Backhaul:

In Theory, there is no limit to how many Decos can be in a single network. For networks using WiFi 5 (AC) Decos, we do recommend limiting the number of Deco units to 6.  This will ensure the best possible performance for your network. If you are using WiFi 6 or higher Decos then you should be able to expand the system as you see fit.

@HelpFixDecoApp Thanks for replying and support.

Maybe I was too short explaining what I want to do.

Actual network:

- 3 M4 Deco routers

- Main deco connected to internet

- No wires (ethernet), all 3 routers communicate over wifi (2.4GHz and  5GHz)

- No other routers

Desired new network:

- New Decor router: X20

- Replace previous M4 Deco (main) with (for example) X20 Deco

- Communication between M4 Deco routers and new X20 over wifi (2.4GHz and  5GHz)

- No wires (ethernet)

Is that possible?

Just so I'm clear on this you still want just one network yes?

Yes this should be possible

Add your new X20 to your network by going into the deco app and from the "Network" tab click on the "+" icon on the top right of the network tab and click on "Replace Main Deco" and follow the prompts :)

Once the X20 is your Main deco the rest should all be satellites units
