What's This?
I remember the good old days of taking a powerline adapter with it's twin, plug it into an outlet, go plug the other into another outlet and there you go. I guess that should show my age hu?
I have two model's. One is TL-PA 7017 I guess it's a kit as I got two adapters and the other is a TL-PA 7017P. Here's the story/problem. So I got the 1st set TL-PA 7017P. Plug it into an outlet in the office, which the cable goes from the unit to router. The other unit that came with it, is plug in a room with the cable going out to my barn with cameras (hooked up to a DVR). Easy as pie. I was happy. The the wife said "I want to watch TV in my women's cave. I said, NO Problem! I was wrong. So I order the TL-PA 7017 (KIT), receive them today. So I plug one into my switch is is run by my router, and the other into room with her TV, and the other into a switch (same switch as the first one). Once I did that, all my security camera's when down. Once I unplug the one plug into her TV, security cameras came back on.
Why is this?
