OFDMA/MU-MIMO

This forum form does not allow me to enter the router I am using: Archer BE9500.
I tested then disabled OFDMA/MU-MIMO on this router. I tested the upload and download speeds with and without
OFDMA/MU-MIMO enabled. The upload speed for the enabled setting was significantly lower than with OFDMA/MU-MIMO disabled.
I know this topic has been discussed thoroughly but here I am inviting further discussion. I have read that OFDMA/MU-MIMO is touted to be the greatest thing since sliced bread but I can't produce any actual data from my personal experience to warrant enabling it. What are the WiFi criteria that warrants enabling the OFDMA/MU-MIMO feature?

Does the client device have to support OFDMA ?
No, not all clients need to support OFDMA for it to be used. If at least one client and the access point (AP) support OFDMA, it can be utilized for simultaneous bidirectional transmission. However, OFDMA is more effective when multiple clients also support it.
Does the client device have to support MU-MIMO ?
Yes, a client device must support MU-MIMO for it to be utilized in a Wi-Fi network. If a client device does not support MU-MIMO, the router or access point will fall back to Single-User MIMO (SU-MIMO) for communication with that device.
In general, it's up to your decision whether to enable MU-MIMO feature or not.
