Can I change the email on my account?  Trying to address this comment regarding a home sale: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/832040

Also any way to unbind Kasa from Tapo from Deco gear?

Maybe they should have mentioned this years ago as we committed to the whole TP-LINK ecosystem??

I have gathered additional information regarding your inquiry. Many users have been requesting the ability to change their email address associated with their Deco account since 2020. Currently, there is no direct option available to update the email address. However, there is an alternative: selecting the "Delete Network" option. Using this feature will unbind the current email address from the associated Deco network. You can then set up a new network using your preferred email address and password that you set up for them.

Please note that I have not tested this process before. Once you unbind your Deco units from your email account, it is unlikely that you will be able to manage your Kasa and Tapo devices through the Deco app. You may need to use the Kasa or Tapo apps on your phone to manage those devices moving forward.

If you would like to use this option and delete the network, click on the following link and refer to scenario 2

As for your question on how to unbind Kasa and Tapo products from the deco app I found the following suggestions online

To unbind a smart device from your TP-Link Deco network, you'll typically need to remove the device from the Deco app's network and potentially factory reset the device itself. This process varies slightly depending on the device type and whether you are removing it from the network or just unbinding it from your TP-Link account.

To unbind a Deco unit (router/mesh node):

  1. 1. Remove the Deco unit from the network:

    .

Open the Deco app, navigate to the device, and find the option to remove or delete the device. This will typically revert the Deco to its factory settings.

  2. 2. Factory reset the Deco:

    .

If needed, you can also manually factory reset the Deco by pressing and holding the reset button for a specific duration (refer to your Deco's manual for the exact time).

  3. 3. Unbind the TP-Link ID (optional):

    .

If you also want to unbind the Deco from your TP-Link ID, you may need to factory reset the Deco and then delete the Deco network within the app.

To unbind a smart device (like a camera or bulb):

  1. 1. Remove the device from the Deco app:

    .

In the Deco app, locate the device in the device list or settings and choose the option to remove or delete it.

  2. 2. Unbind from TP-Link ID (if needed):

    .

Some smart devices may also have a separate process for unbinding from your TP-Link ID. Refer to the device's specific instructions or the TP-Link support website for details.

@HelpFixDecoApp Thank you for all the details.  I saw a reference to change network owner in the screen shots under scenario 2.  I do not see this option on my deco however.  Is there someting I'm missing?
