Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

When I purchased my XE75 Pro (e) 3 unit system in 2024, I had 1GB internet service.

I can now get low latency 2.0/2.5GB service from a different supplier for less.

The problem is that XE75 Pro only has 2.5GB in and 2x 1GB LAN ports out. My favored PC systems are all wired LAN with Cat 6/6e cables and 2.5 GB LAN cards.

Wi-Fi is fine as is and needs no upgrades unless forced.

I understand I should not put a 2.5GB Switch in front of the router, but how can I cheaply share the 2.5GB service?

Looking Deco specs I have no desire to spring for the latest DECO system with multi 2.5GB LAN ports, or 10GB, but I wonder if I cant just buy a new Router.

  1. The Deco BE63 would seem to work and run with my WiFi 6 satellites and maintain backhaul?
  2. Even cheaper would be the a single Deco BE25 which has 2x 2.5GB LAN ports and would let me provide high Speed service via my switch to my devices.

  • Anyone tried either of these?
  • Forum experts would it work?
  • TP Link, how about a trade up program?

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. So you can put a switch in front of all your decos "If" you run the decos in AP mode as shown below.

The problem with this is that you will lose some options that your decos support while running them in AP mode Click here to see the options you would lose running in AP mode.

You could buy either the BE63 or BE25 and use either one of them as your main but, if your current XE75 pro units have options not out yet for either of your new ones then you lose out on those options.

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1
