Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have a Deco XE75Pro mesh system fully functional (4 units).

I have ordered a BE63 system (3 units) which may be enough for my quirky house with multiple dead spots (hence the 4units)

I plan to power down all the XE75 Pro units and introduce the BE63's.

:

My questions are:

  1. Is this the correct thing to do or should I just delete the XE75's from my account (not sure how).
  2. Should I just start over as if the other units were never installed - see 1 above.
  3. Depending on how good the BE63 coverage is, I may want keep 1 or 2 XE75's, since the specs say Wi-Fi 7 is backwards compatible. Even if the speeds would be slower, most of my 40 or  so devices are 2.4Ghz anyway.
  4. I have all the hardwired and Wi-Fi set up as fixed addresses, so it would be great if I can just introduce the new router and satellites to replace the old devices.

Thanks

Well that was easy! 4 XE75Pro's replaced by 3 BE6300 - probably could have got away with just 2. The only thing missed in the manual was to reset the old Deco units if you plan to sell them on, which I do after a week or so.

Well, my post spent the weekend under review for Spam and was cleared today.

Meanwhile my BE6300 system arrived (not a single piece of information about how to use it) but a CR code on the box, which only shows how to create an account and setup first time.

Fortunately, I managed to find a detailed use guide that expalins how to initiate the replacment of the main device.

Hopefully all will go well. Perhaps this forum could point to the detailed user manuals for each product.
