I currently have TP Link Gigabit 8 port TLSG108.

I have attached a rough plan of what i think I want to do.

I have a synology with 2 ethernet ports so i want to add cameras on a vlan.

The picture explains a little. definately want the 2 new cables to be on 10 gig switch.

I willing to spend a bit to get it right, dont for see much further expansion.

Not really heavy users of anything just 2 people a bit of file sharing and a bit of streaming.

Thanks in advance

GigaSpire Fiber eventually

So heres some equipment I have been looking at

1 - 8 port 2.5G TL-5608S M2
2 - 8 port 10G TLSX 1008
3 - 8 port 1G POE  TLSG1210MP
4 - 8 port 2.5G TL-5608S M2

VPN Router ER707  ?

3 - Outdoor Mikrotik RB5009UPr+S+Out

WiFi would be backup mostly.

my network

  @jonnie455

If you would like a deco that's going to be able to match the speed of your switch then you could use one of the models listed in the link below

https://www.tp-link.com/us/deco-mesh-wifi/product-family/?filterby=6189

All of the models listed above have at least one 10 gig port but not all of them support fiber from what i can see

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1

  @HelpFixDecoApp

The Deco looks good, I am going for all wired. But would be nice to have for backup.

  @jonnie455 Computer can handle 10 Gbps, but don't believe the TV needs that much bandwidth.  I have the TL-SX1008 I purchased before TP-Link removed the lifetime warranty and replaced it with 3 years I believe.  The fan (on the older versions at least) is quite noisy.  The size is going to be a lot bigger than your current switch, (just a heads up)!

I'd recommend a router with 2 or more 10 Gbps Ethernet ports.  The future is fiber so consider running that if the "copper" isn't already run.  That would require a switch with SFP, or SFP+ (fiber 10 Gbps).  Netgear makes combo SFP+ and 10 Gbps Ethernet switches, also MikroTik, and TRENDnet.

For a router something with two 10 GbE ports would be good.  Some include a "combo" 10GbE/SFP+ port which you choose to use one or the other.  I do not feel the one you mention is a good fit but I can't read the layout well it is too small on my phone.  Haven't decided what a good router for you would be....

EDIT:  For your other switches can consider more economical option such as TEG-S762 (version 2 is a lot smaller than version 1).  TEG-S562 replaces two 10 GbE with 2 SFP+.  I can't think of a TP-Link switch with mix Ethernet and SFP.  (Unfortunately it is the middle of the night here and I'm getting sleepy again)...

  @jzchen TL-SX1008 is kind of big but should be OK.

Yup Copper is already run.

Tvs dont need that much I am aware. will probably be a couple laptops and maybe a desktop there at some point.

Mikrotik RB5009 out door (I like) is either 2.5G ethernet or 10G SFP, may be worth running it separate.

stiil have to change other end though

Updated the original to show GigaSpire Fiber at some point, will wait on a specific router until its installed.

May need something better for cams to see on internet occasionally.

Thanks

  @jonnie455 There are a couple other 8 port, 10 GbE unmanaged switches available.  TRENDnet TEG-S708 (version 2), and TP-Link Omada DS1008X...

You posted in the Deco area of the forum which is probably why you were given a Deco recommendation.  Personally I have a Deco BE95.  It has a "combo" 10 GbE/SFP+ port, which I connect SFP+ to SFP+ via a pair of TP-Link TL-SM5110-SR and 2m LC LC OM4 FCD cable to a Netgear XS508M.  (My first foray into fiber wiring sans the fiber AT&T service).  Don't be surprised those SFP transceivers run HOT, but as you can see amazingly small compared to Cat 6 650 MHz ethernet, the white cable.  Please pardon the dust)!
