Can anyone suggest a Wi-Fi adapter for a PC running on Windows 7, please? Also, the firmware version, if possible. Thanks in advance.

What PC exactly?

Can you use an M.2 Wifi7 adapter?

I have a Dell with a Wifi 6 M.2 adapter on its motherboard and bought an Intel BE200 M.2 Adapter and replaced the one in the Dell on the motherboard. Works like a charm. ISP speed is 1Gbps, and with that adapter I get 900Mbps+ D/L speed, reaching 940Mbps occasionally according to SPEEDTEST(dot)NET.

However, for Windows 7, not even sure it would support WiFi7?

I did not have 'full WiFi7' capabilities until Windows 11 24H2 I recall. So if you are running WiFi6 right now, you might not see a difference?
