@Jacobsed Did you get the 3 XE75 Pro as a package?  What is the Hardware Version #?  Are you on the latest firmware?  Which model is connected to the gateway?

Lo que describes pasa mucho cuando se combinan equipos Deco en modo Router con equipos de ISP como el XB8. Estás creando un escenario de doble NAT (tu XB8 en modo puente a veces no es un puente 100 % transparente, especialmente con Xfinity) y eso provoca que la red pierda estabilidad y que los Deco no recuperen bien la conexión hasta que los reinicias o reconstruyes la red.

Lo que hiciste de poner el XB8 en modo Router y pasar los Deco a modo Access Point (AP) es la solución más estable en estos casos. Pero como bien dices, en AP se pierden los controles parentales y otras funciones avanzadas de Deco porque el enrutamiento ahora lo hace el XB8.

Para intentar conservar el modo Router y las funciones Deco, prueba lo siguiente:

1. Confirma que el XB8 está realmente en modo Bridge (algunos ISP llaman “bridge” a desactivar el Wi-Fi pero el NAT sigue activo). Si sigue haciendo NAT, pide a Xfinity que lo pasen a true bridge mode.
2. Configura la IP WAN de tu Deco en manual (DHCP estático) con los mismos datos que recibes cuando conectas un portátil directo al XB8. Así evitas que el lease DHCP se pierda y provoque la caída de red.
3. Desactiva en Deco funciones como HomeShield y QoS temporalmente para descartar que alguna regla esté causando la pérdida de conexión.
4. Asegúrate de que todos los XE75 Pro y XE75 normales están en la misma versión de firmware. Las versiones mezcladas a veces generan errores de backhaul y pérdida de sincronización.

Si nada de esto mantiene la conexión, la solución más fiable es seguir en modo AP (como ya hiciste) y usar los controles parentales del XB8 o incluso un sistema de control de contenido en la propia red (por ejemplo, OpenDNS o Pi-hole).

Con esto deberías poder evitar reconstruir la red cada pocos días y mantener una conexión estable.

  @Jacobsed Sorry to read you had to resort to Access Point mode.  This used to be a dirty trick that ISPs would do to encourage you to rent equipment from them, and I apologize if my suggestions are misguided as such:

There is a setting for Ignore Ping From WAN side.  It may be worth turning it OFF from default ON.

You could try cloning the MAC of the computer you connected.

Last thing I would try is disconnect the XE75 (non-Pros), and see if the issue stops.  (Long shot but possible if your XE75s were working fine and mixing Pro and non-Pro introduces some glitch in Deco Mesh framework)...

Coincido con lo que comenta @jzchen sobre probar a clonar la MAC y desactivar la opción de ping en WAN. Además, como tienes una mezcla de XE75 Pro y XE75 normales, asegúrate de que todos estén en la misma versión de firmware antes de reconstruir la red. Las versiones desincronizadas suelen causar pérdida de backhaul y hace que el problema reaparezca a los pocos días.

Otra prueba útil es reservar manualmente la IP WAN en el Deco (DHCP estático) con los datos que te da el XB8. Así evitas que, si el XB8 renueva el arrendamiento DHCP, el Deco se quede sin IP y tengas que reiniciar todo.

Si nada de esto funciona, seguir en modo AP y usar los controles parentales del XB8 o un sistema externo (como OpenDNS o Pi-hole) es la opción más estable para evitar reconstruir la red cada semana.

  @jzchen taking the non pro deco's out of the network might fix it as I didn't have any problems until after I incorporated them.  Although I did try to get the deco connected to the internet using only one Deco Pro unit and it didn't work.

  @Jacobsed  Glad to hear you are testing the suggestions!

If you can, try the “Ignore Ping From WAN” setting → set it to OFF, it sometimes fixes weird connection drops.

Also, let us know if removing the non-Pro XE75 units really stabilizes the network — it could help others facing the same mix-and-match Deco setup.

  @PauMonreal I really appreciate all the suggestions.  I'll have to find time to maybe test some of them.  I'm very happy with AP mode at the present time.  I love the deco mesh.  I'm running 6 deco units in a two story 4500sqft house with basement and get 500mbps or more in most all areas.  I purchase 1GB from Xfinity.  The xfinitiy app has good parental controls I'm learing.  I can create profiles and assign devices to the profiles, then apply parental controls, time limits and pausing of connection.
