Netflix on Vizio TVs not working with XE75
Netflix on Vizio TVs not working with XE75
I installed 3 XE75 Pro units a couple weeks ago and from the start I have not been able to connect to Netflix on my two Vizio TVs. All my other devices are able to connect and stream Netflix without issues. Apple TVs, Phones, Tablets, etc have no issues.
I have Midco Internet 1 Gig and an ARRIS Model: DG3450 router.
I first had the Arris in router mode with the wifi channels set to off. This is how I had it previously with my Google Mesh and everything worked fine. One XE75 is connected to the Arris via CAT 6 and by default was setup as a router. Once I realized I was having issue with Netflix on the Vizios I did some troubleshooting and saw many posts about users having the same issue. That led to me trying a handful of different settings.
One of the VIzio TVs is v505-g9 and the other is a few years newer than that one.
- I changed the XE75 to AP mode (rebooted everything, modem, XE75s, TV, Netflix)
- No luck
- I put the Arris into bridge mode and set the XE75 back to router mode (rebooted everything)
- No luck
- I have turn on IPv6
- I have turned off Mesh Technology for the Vizio
- I have set the Vizio to prefer the closest XE75
- I have set the Vizio to prefer 2.4GHz and then 5 GHz
None of that worked.
I ran the built in tests in the Netflix app on the Vizio and some times it even checks all the connection steps as green and passing. Still won't load and gives an error saying it can't connect.
Every other streaming service works on the Vizios and every other device on the network can use Netflix.
I have run out of ideas.

@tailg8r If other non-Vizio devices can stream Netflix, then I would lean towards Netflix Vizio combo being the issue....
