Proper topology when deploying multiple XE75 units
I have used other tp-link products in the past. In those cases, each of the devices communicated directly with my Xfinity gateway (cable modem/wifi router) to extend the WiFi coverage throughout my home.
With the Deco XE75 (2-pack), one of the units had to be designated as the "Main" device during the setup process.
I was planning to deploy one device on our 2nd floor, and the other down in the basement. With both (hopefully) communicating directly with our WiFi router located in the main/ground floor.
However, I am under the impression that all secondary XE75's channel their data traffic through the 'main' unit? Based on my intended deployment, this would mean that the secondary unit (in the basement) would have to transmit its data all the way up to the 'main' xe75 located on the 2nd floor, then back down to the router located on the main floor.
In a nutshell, am I forced to purchase a 3rd xe75 for a proper setup? The 2-pack was pretty expensive.
