@Galaxie
Okay, I understand that you recently moved and, after switching ISPs, your Deco Mesh system is now delivering much lower speeds than before, even though your new provider's modem shows full speed when tested directly. Let's go through some steps to help identify and potentially resolve the speed issue with your Deco system:
Suggestions for accurately measuring Ethernet/Wi-Fi speed:
1. Use https://www.speedtest.net or the Speedtest app/CLI (https://www.speedtest.net/apps/) to test your network speed accurately.
2. Confirm that your ISP's modem is providing the correct speed by connecting a PC directly to the modem/router and running a speed test.
3. To check the wired (Ethernet) speed of your Deco, connect your PC directly to the main Deco unit. Ensure all Ethernet cables are CAT5E or above, and verify that the modem, Deco, and your PC's Ethernet ports all support your subscribed bandwidth (for example, 1Gbps ports for 500Mbps service).
4. For wireless speed tests, make sure your phone or laptop is connected to the nearest Deco unit and is using the high-speed (5G/6G) Wi-Fi band, not 2.4G.
5. When testing wireless speed, ensure no other devices are using high bandwidth (such as streaming or downloading large files).
Possible methods to improve speed on Deco:
1. If Ethernet speed is lower than expected, try different Ethernet cables (CAT5E or above) and alternate ports on the main Deco.
2. In the Deco app, go to MORE > ECO Mode and make sure ECO Mode is disabled.
3. Go to MORE > QoS and ensure QoS is disabled. If there is no on/off switch, set it to standard and remove all priority devices.
4. Go to MORE > Advanced > NAT forwarding, and disable SIP ALG and UPnP.
5. Try running speed tests with different servers, as some may provide better results than others.
