I recently replaced my main mesh router (Deco BE67) to the TP-Link Deco  7 Elite BE95, so now i'm using the previous main router as my satellite.

For some reason this is the only satellite showing a medium signal strength.

 

So far i tried:

Verifying the firmware update.

Moving it closer to the main router.

Swapping it with another satellite that has strong signal strength. (Originally bought the 2-pack BE67)

Removing it from the app and adding it back.

Removing it from the app, hard resetting, then adding it back.

Removing my strong signal strength satellite from the app and put the satellite with the issue in its place after doing another hard reset and adding it through the  app.

 

I am unable to backhaul, as our ISP installed their modem at the top floor and I need the satellite to be downstairs and do not want to run wires downstairs.

 

My other satellite has no issues whatsoever and has no interferences so i tested it by unplugging the strong signal strength satellite and plugging in the medium signal strength in the exact same position with the exact same settings but the signal strength still defaulted to medium. Is it because it used to be the main router?  Is there a method other than hard resetting that could fix it?

Have you tried the Network Optimzation tool? 

 

To use Deco network optimization, open the Deco app, navigate to the 'More' tab, and select 'Network Optimization' to scan for and fix channel congestion. The system automatically identifies the best channels and may prompt you to adjust Deco unit placement to improve signal

  @HelpFixDecoApp 

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it but it still shows medium strength.  I think i'm just going to exchange the unit as I feel that this is a hardware issue at this point.
