Model: Deco X55
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.6

I have AT&T Fiber Internet and the Pace 5268ac Gateway. My Deco X55 system is connected through Port #1 on the Pace 5268ac in DMZ+ mode. The Deco X55 is currently running in Wi-Fi router mode. The two additional Deco X55 antennas are Ethernet cable connected through the main antenna. The 2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz Wi-Fi channels on the Pace 5268ac have been disabled. Everything works great.

The issue I am having is I cannot get any computer connected through the Deco X55 system to sync Internet time. If I connect through Ethernet cable to the Pace 5268ac, I am able to sync Internet time. I tried opening UDP Port 123 on the Deco X55 with no success. I turned off "Block Ping" on the Pace 5268ac with no success. I tried running the Deco X55 is Access Point Mode, but I lost connectivity with the Ethernet ports on the Deco X55 and only Wi-Fi worked. I double-checked the Pace 5268ac to confirm the Deco X55 was running in DMZ+ mode, and re-started both the Pace 5268ac and the Deco X55 with no success.

Am I missing something? Why won't Internet time sync when connected to the Deco X55, but will sync when connected to the Pace 5268ac? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you...

Thanks for reaching out! I understand that you're experiencing issues with Internet time synchronization (NTP) on computers connected via Wi-Fi to your Deco X55, while Ethernet-connected devices sync time without problems. Your setup includes an AT&T Pace 5268ac Gateway with the Deco X55 in DMZ+ mode running as a router.

Unfortunately, I could not find specific information regarding NTP time synchronization issues for Wi-Fi clients in our knowledgebase. @Ryan any ideas on this part?

However, I notice that your current setup has both the AT&T gateway and Deco X55 operating in router mode, which creates a double NAT scenario. While DMZ+ mode helps minimize some double NAT issues, it doesn't completely eliminate them. Double NAT can sometimes cause problems with certain protocols and services, potentially including NTP traffic for wireless clients.

Since you mentioned that running the Deco X55 as an Access Point causes Ethernet connectivity issues (which shouldn't normally happen), there may be an underlying configuration or compatibility issue between your AT&T gateway and the Deco system that's affecting both the AP mode functionality and the NTP synchronization.

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1

@HelpFixDecoApp Thank you for the response. Yesterday, I re-installed both the AT&T gateway and the Deco X55 system from scratch, after trying things which did not work. Both the gateway and the Deco system are using their default IP addresses, and the Deco is in DMZ+ mode attached to the gateway. The Deco is also in WiFi router mode. The time sync issue still persists when connected to the Deco, but works fine when connected to the gateway. I tried to open UDP Port 123 on the Deco with no luck. I also tried changing the IP addresses of both the gateway and the Deco with luck. Everything else is working normally. Any ideas would be appreciated.

To be honest I'm not sure why you're having the time sync issue but i did tag a member of the tp-link staff in my first post they should be able to help you sometime this week.
